Nabr intends to develop scalable housing solutions that promote affordability and home ownership. Their designs incorporate sustainability in a fundamental way—the building structure is developed with mass timber (cross laminated timber, CLT) to reduce embodied carbon. The SoFA tower is a 19-story hybrid CLT residential building.
LSTN collaborated with BIG and RMW Architecture to overcome the acoustic challenges of mass timber construction, working in close collaboration with structural and fire engineers to provide a holistic, performative and efficient design.
