Nike created a special division to focus their highly customized, one-off sneaker line.
The S23 Studio located within the new South Street Seaport is a creative hub that mixes data scientists, app developers, shoe designers and fabricators into a single collaborative environment. In addition to offices and meeting spaces, the Studio includes a ‘design zone’ where Nike is able to work the community through presentations, workshops. The focus on collaboration is clear upon entering the space and seeing the 25ft long custom conference table adjacent to a raised platform and kitchen/bar area. The acoustics respond to the varied program from face-to-face conversations to music events.
